Jim Glaub and Dylan Parker began to receive letters addressed to Santa back in 2010 when they lived in an apartment on 22nd Street in Manhattan. The letters started to come in and little by little there were hundreds of them.
The couple felt compelled to open the letters, and once they did so, it was really hard to ignore them. In particular when some of the letters only asked for shoes, blankets, nappies and clothes from kids who parents could not afford them.
The couple was truly touched by the letters and decided to answer them all. They created a Facebook page, called Miracle on 22ns Street, and started to ask friends and family to help by fulfilling some of the Kids’ wishes. Dylan even took some letters to this work and passed around so that his work friends could also help out.
Until this date, they still don’t know why all these letters end up at their apartment, but that is no longer their priority. The Couple now leaves in London, but they kindly asked that the new residents of 22nd Street forward to them the letters to Santa so they can continue with the act of kindness, arranging for all the letters to be answered.
Wonderful story, don’t you think? Join the Miracle on 22nd Street and help Jim and Dylan to get presents for all the kids that wrote to Santa Claus by visiting they Facebook page. Let’s spread the joy and make a kid happy at Christmas!
